What is AAA Screening?

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) screening is a quick, painless ultrasound test offered to men in their 65th year. It checks for a bulge or swelling in the main blood vessel (aorta) that runs from your heart through your abdomen. If left untreated, this can become very serious.

The screening is free, takes just a few minutes, and can detect a problem long before you notice any symptoms. Catching an AAA early can save lives.
