Season’s greetings from everyone at Uplands Medical Centre 🎄

As the year draws to a close, we want to take a moment to wish all our patients and families a warm and peaceful Christmas.

This time of year can feel busy, joyful, stressful, or a mix of all three. Whatever Christmas looks like for you, we hope you find moments to rest, reset, and look after yourself.

Looking after your health over the festive period

A few simple reminders to help you stay well over Christmas and New Year.

  • Keep taking your regular medication as prescribed. Order repeat prescriptions early to avoid running out.
  • Try to maintain some routine. Regular meals, hydration, and sleep all make a difference.
If you feel unwell, use NHS 111 for advice when we are closed. They can guide you to the right care quickly.
  • Be kind to your mental health. The festive period can be hard for many people. Reach out to friends, family, or support services if you need to.

Thank you for your patience and support.

Winter is one of the busiest times for GP practices. We want to thank you for your patience, kindness, and understanding with our team. Your support helps us continue to care for our whole community.

Looking ahead to the New Year

We head into the New Year focused on improving access, communication, and patient experience. We look forward to supporting you and your family throughout 2026.

From all the doctors, nurses, reception, and wider team at Uplands Medical Centre, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a healthy, hopeful New Year.

Take care and stay well.
